The duties of a SERIS security guard
class="lazyload

As an employer, SERIS strives to ensure that its employees’ work remains varied. As a service provider, SERIS aims to offer its clients as much added value as possible. We therefore always consult with our clients to determine the best way to integrate security personnel into their business processes.

The duties of a SERIS security guard can be more varied than many people realize. That’s why we’ve compiled a list of our security guards’ most important duties.

1. MONITORING

SERIS security guards are trained to monitor buildings and premises. They proactively address people engaging in inappropriate behavior to prevent unwanted situations. If necessary, they will take the appropriate action in the event of an unwanted situation.

2. ACCESS CONTROL

As an organization, you want to keep unwanted guests out. Our security guards can be deployed to manage the flow of visitors. For example, onlyauthorizedpersonnel are allowed access to theconstruction site.

3. VISITOR REGISTRATION

For larger organizations, visitor registration is essential. Our security guards are well-equipped to handle this for you.

4. HOSPITALITY

Our security guards take their work seriously, but always ensure your guests receive a warm welcome. A SERIS security guard is the perfect ambassador for your organization.

5. REPORTING UNWANTED SITUATIONS

Our security guards are alert to potential problems and can spot unusual behavior. If they notice anything out of the ordinary, they take immediate action.

6. REPORTING UNSAFE SITUATIONS

SERIS security guards are trained to identify unsafe situations—such as issues that are critical in the event of an emergency. Examples include malfunctioning emergency lighting and blocked emergency exits.

7. CONDUCTING INSPECTIONS

Our security guards can conduct checks at fixed or flexible times. This helps ensure continuity in your critical business processes.

8. OPENING OR CLOSING BUILDINGS

A SERIS security guard can also handle the opening and closing of yourbusiness premises and grounds. This is a responsibility that the security guard can easily take over from your own employee. This prevents the risk of the premises being left unlocked or not being locked up as agreed.

9. CALLING FOR REINFORCEMENTS

A SERIS security guard is trained to recognize when a situation requires escalation. The security guard knows exactly who needs to be notified—whether internally or externally—and when.

10. INCIDENT REPORTING

The security guard can track and report incidents. Based on these reports, you can identify trends and take appropriate action. SERIS can advise you on this.

11. First Aid and Emergency Response Duties

At many client sites, SERIS security guards are part of the first aid and emergency response team. First aid and emergency response duties can be easily combined with other security tasks. By incorporating security guards into your emergency response team, you enhance its operational continuity.

12. LOGISTICAL MANAGEMENT OF VEHICLE FLOWS

Our security guard can also assist with logistics operations at the client’s site. For example, checking vehicles and cargo in and out, and directing vehicles to the correct location.
