Creating value in a responsible and forward-looking manner

For SERIS, corporate social responsibility means more than just taking the environment into account. We are committed to finding and maintaining a healthy and sustainable balance between people, our planet, and sound profitability. SERIS’s sustainability policy is based on the ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact regarding respect for human rights, environmental protection, and the fight against corruption.

People, Planet, and Profit

People: Safety and well-being are recurring core values at SERIS. Every SERIS employee is properly equipped to perform their assigned tasks effectively. Every colleague is adequately trained and briefed. We encourage our employees to lead healthy lifestyles and to use bicycles and public transportation.

Planet: We aim to minimize our environmental impact. We use fuel-efficient vehicles and are transitioning entirely to electric cars. We sort our waste and use recyclable materials. We prioritize public transportation. For international meetings, we prefer to hold video conferences.

Profit: The SERIS Group is also in excellent financial health. This allows us to invest in our people and the quality of our services. We maintain control and oversight, and continuously measure the results of our activities. The SERIS Group is not publicly traded and is not dependent on external shareholders.

CO2 Performance Ladder

SERIS actively strives to minimize its environmental impact and protect the environment. In doing so, we involve our employees, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients. Our ambition is to operate in a carbon-neutral manner by 2030 at the latest. As proof of our commitment, we have been ISO 14001 certified for several years and have met the requirements of Step 3 of the CO2 Performance Ladder since 2023.

Our Integrated Management System comprises the following elements:

  • insight – accurately measuring our energy flows and the associated carbon footprint
  • reduction – setting ambitious targets for CO2 reduction
  • transparency – consistently communicating our CO2 policy
  • participation – taking part in initiatives within the sector or supply chain to reduce CO2 emissions.

In our CO2 reduction plan, we outline our CO2 reduction targets in greater detail and describe the specific steps we will take to achieve them. Our reduction measures focus primarily on the following areas: recycling, energy management, products and services, procurement, and transportation.

We are committed to continuing our efforts in all these areas and effectively implementing our CO2 policy, with the ultimate goal of achieving sustainable and carbon-neutral operations. The policy, key activities, and results are documented in the external CO2 Performance Ladder report.
